The Last Song Book Review

#1 Bestselling Author? Check. Motion picture? Check. I've heard about The Last Song for quite a while now, but I never got the chance to read it until i found it in my local library. The Last Song has become a big hit being published in 2009 with the film version coming soon after in 2010. After reading it now, I can definitely say that The Last Song is a book I will never forget.
Ronnie is a seventeen year old girl from the city of New York. We notice her to be a rebellious teenager, not looking forward to the summer which she is meant to spend with her father on the coast of Wilmington, North Carolina. To Ronnie, this summer's not all sunshine and games, but she'll finally have to face her father who she hasn't talked to for 3 years after he left her mom. Filled with anger and a thrive for independence, she dreads the summer ahead. Little did she know, this summer will become the best summer of her life. As she befriends fellow characters and develops a bond with a jock from off the beach, Ronnie's perspective towards everything gradually changes, and as the summer progresses, things take a tragic turn.
Like most Nicholas Sparks books, The Last Song tells a beautiful romance that captures the hearts of the readers from the first page to the very last words. Being a tearjerker, this novel does not fail to be added to my top Nicholas Sparks novels. Although the book is mostly directed to a younger audience, this is an awesome read for any age.

I'm a Nicholas Sparks fan, too. I haven't read this yet. I'll have to see if my library has it.
